Night Out Against Crime; Singles Dance Party

A look at upcoming events and activities in Commack this week.

The Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct will host a 'National Night Out Against Crime' in the parking lot next to Target located at 98 Veterans Memorial Hwy. from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday. This is a free, fun, family event that will have specialized units from the police department, local fire department, the Commack Coalition of Caring and various community groups.

Re-dedication Ceremony of the Peter McCann Gillard Room
Join The Smithtown Library in celebrating the re-dedication of the 
Peter McCann Gillard Community Room Wednesday at the Smithtown Main Building, at 11:30 a.m.. Gillard was Library Director from 1978 to 1988. 

Singles Dance Party at Ciao Baby 
Single? Join a dance party Friday night at Ciao Baby in Commack to meet new people and see if a match can be made on the dance floor. The party is from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. Price is $20, which includes an open bar featuring well drinks, Champagne, Wine, Sangria and Draft Beer. Farmers Market
Starting at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, shoppers can find fresh produce including a variety of fruits and vegetables at TFCU (102 Motor Pkwy., Haupauge). Then, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., a new wave of vendors, offering everything from fresh crepes, to wines, seafood, breads and more, will be on site. Stop for the fresh, local goods.
