Same-Day Target Delivery Coming To Long Island
An app-based service, called Shipt, will allow shoppers have items delivered, sometimes in as little as an hour, the company says.

Attention Target shoppers on Long Island. Same-day delivery is coming soon.
The retailer announced Thursday that residents in the Hudson Valley and Kingston will be the first to have the service in the New York metropolitan area.
Long Island, the five boroughs of New York, as well as Mount Kisco and White Plains should see same-day delivery sometime during the first half of August, homeworldbusiness.com said.

Customers will be able to buy about 55,000 different products, including groceries, when the service is available.
Target announced the purchase of the online same-day delivery platform Shipt in Dec. 2017. At the time, Target said the service will be in a majority of stores, and in all major markets, before the 2018 holiday season.

A call to Target's media relations requesting information about which specific locations will be offering same-day delivery was not immediately returned.
Customers will have to sign up for Shipt, which is $99 for an annual membership, to use same-day delivery.
However, if you sign up before Aug. 1, you will pay $49, newsobserver.com said.
