Crafts and Mother's Day Brunch
Give mom a piece of your heat at Paint-A-Piece in Commack on May 12. The craft shop will have two seatings at noon and 3 p.m. Mothers and their families will enjoy brunch, bagels , muffins , quiche, coffee , juice and more. All guest must do a project of $14 or more and coupons will not be accepted that day. A $5 deposit and reservations are required. Call 631-486-6969 to reserve a spot.

Relay for Life
Students, staff and community members will walk around the High School track overnight Friday to take part in Commack's Relay for Life at 6 p.m. Friday. The Relay helps to raise money to find a cure, honors cancer survivors, remembers lost loved ones and spreads a message of hope in ending cancer. So far this year, Commack has raised more than $121,800 and counting.

Avon Walk For Breast Cancer Fundraiser
Join The Story Avenue Band as they help NYBlue for Pinkfight breast cancer in a fundraiser for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on May 10 at 7 p.m. at Napper Tandy's in Northport (229 Laurel Ave., Northport) Enjoy great music, an appetizer bar with beer wine and soda, and great raffles.

Fundraiser for Sandy Hook Victim
Retired St. James Elementary tutor, Shelia Zapf, lost her seven-year-old granddaughter in the Sandy Hook shooting.Her friends, along with the Smithtown Teachers Association wish to create a lasting memorial to Grace by raising funds to install a memorial plaque on the Stony Brook Village Green. Head down to Napper Tandy's Friday, happy hour to participate.
