• Chinuch Office to Open Chinuch Hub in Crown Heights (anash.org) — A new Chinuch Center is being planned right in Crown Heights to support local and global Jewish educators with shared workspace, resources, and an online platform. Organized by the Merkos Chinuch Office in honor of 50 years of Mivtzah Chinuch, the hub aims to strengthen Chinuch and better serve Lubavitcher children, and educators are invited to shape its services through a survey.
   

• Private management promised to fix public housing, yet hundreds of violations linger (brooklyneagle.com) — Two NYCHA RAD buildings in Crown Heights, at 1598 Sterling Place and 692 Ralph Avenue, currently have nearly 200 open serious housing code violations, with city contractors repeatedly stepping in for critical repairs. The investigation raises questions about private managers’ oversight and accountability across RAD developments citywide, but the conditions in these Crown Heights properties are especially alarming for local tenants relying on safe, well‑maintained homes.
