20-Year-Old Shot in Wyandanch Backyard, In Critical Condition: Police
A Westbury man was shot Wednesday night and taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police say.
WYANDANCH, NY — A man was critically injured in a shooting Wednesday night in Wyandanch, Suffolk County police said.
According to Suffolk County Police Department, First Squad officers responded to a report of a shooting on Patton Avenue at about 8:26 p.m.
Police said a 20-year-old man from Westbury was shot while in the backyard of a residence. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
