Car Bursts Into Flames In Sunrise Highway Crash: Police

The car struck the center wall, causing it to catch fire, police say.

WEST BABYLON, NY — A car caught on fire on Saturday, after a driver struck the center wall on Sunrise Highway, Suffolk County Police said.

At about 8:40 a.m., a man was driving a 2008 Infiniti on Sunrise Highway, west of Exit 39, near West Babylon, when his vehicle struck the center wall. The car went aflame, police said.

No one was injured, police said.
