Deer Park’s JFK Bids Farewell To Beloved Orchestra Director
Deer Park's John F. Kennedy Intermediate School bid farewell to orchestra director Kathy Attard.

DEER PARK, NY — A beloved teacher has retired from Deer Park’s John F. Kennedy Intermediate School.
The annual winter concert at the school on Dec. 10 proved memorable but bittersweet, as it was the final concert for longtime JFK irchestra director Kathy Attard, who retired this month.
The third-grade chorus, directed by Kristen Lombardo, sang the song "Remember Me" in Attard’s honor. Also performing in addition to the orchestra and chorus was the advanced band, directed by Louis Nicolosi.
