DEER PARK, NY — Two Deer Park High School seniors signed their National Letters of Intent during a ceremony on Nov. 24 in the school gymnasium, according to the district.

Seniors Taylor Gabel and Gladys Sanchez committed to continue their soccer careers at the collegiate level next fall. Gabel will play for Binghamton University, while Sanchez signed with Adelphi University, school officials said.

“I fully appreciate how hard you worked to earn this,” Athletic Director Dominick Fontana told the two seniors. “It has been a lifelong commitment and goal, and you saw it all the way through. As you move on to college, just keep doing what you’ve been doing. You’ll start at square one, but just stay focused and make an impression on your teammates and coaches. Keep your eyes and ears open, keep your head down, keep working hard, and you’ll be just fine.”
