LI Community Fundraises To Help Mom And Kids Displaced By Fire
A fundraiser has been organized for a mother, her 3 children and pets who lost everything in a house fire that ravaged their Babylon home.

BABYLON, NY — A house fire displaced a Babylon mother, her three children and their pets after flames ravaged their Wicks Avenue home on Sunday.
While the family wasn't in the house when the blaze broke out in the attic, North Babylon Fire Department crews under the command of Chief Mike Elco extinguished the flames and rescued the family's cat.
While flames ravaged the interior of the house and left it "completely gutted" and uninhabitable for the family, the exterior of the home was not destroyed by the flames.

"A family member and her three kids are displaced after a fire this morning.
"They lost so much. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
"Their dog and cat also inhaled a lot of smoke so there will be vet bills also. Thank you so much for any help you can provide."
In addition to the fundraiser, community members have also rallied on social media while donating clothing, pet and school supplies to the family.
