Long Island's Weekend Forecast Plus Details on Next Snow Chances
We've got your weekend forecast plus details on the next two snow chances for the island.

It is expected to be a dry weekend on Long Island, the first one in a few weeks, the National Weather Service says.
Temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will be normal for this time of year, with highs near 40 degrees. Gusty winds will make it feel more like 20-30 degrees on Saturday, though.
The next chances for snow will come next week. The NWS says there's a slight chance of snow on Monday, with a better chance coming on Wednesday.

For Monday, the NWS isn't making any snow total predictions.
"At this very moment, anything that does develop, would probably arise to the level of cheap thrill status or a light accumulation event," Joe Cioffi, a meteorologist for WPIX and FiOS1, writes on his website of Monday's forecast.

There's a 30 percent of light snow on Wednesday, according to the NWS. Again, no specific snow total predictions have been made yet, but the NWS says there is the potential for "a few inches" Wednesday, but of course, lots of uncertainty remains in the forecast this far out.
