N. Babylon Musicians Make All-State Festival

Students will perform in a concert at Eastman Theater in Rochester, NY.

Three musicians from North Babylon High School will be performing in the New York State School Music Association All-State Music Festival, performances consisting of bands, choruses, orchestras and jazz ensembles made up of top students from school music departments across the state, according to a statement released by the school district.

Carolyn Mistretta (soprano II, women’s chorus), Jaclyn Schoelermann (soprano II, women’s chorus) and Kevin White (electric bass, jazz ensemble) were chosen based on their performance at last year’s NYSSMA Solo Festival.  Lily LaFleur, Alyssa Loftus and Kelly Sisson were selected as alternates for the festival.

Guest conductors will direct the music groups comprising the all-state music festival and students will perform in one of three concerts at the Eastman Theater in Rochester, NY during the NYSSMA Winter Conference on Dec. 7 and 8.
