North Babylon Store Sold $19K NY Lottery Ticket, Still Unclaimed

A Monday evening Take 5 lottery player nabbed one of two top prizes with a ticket purchased at J & H Lucky Spot on Deer Park Avenue.

NORTH BABYLON, NY — J & H Lucky Spot in North Babylon proved lucky for one New York lottery player on Monday. The Labor Day Take 5 evening drawing yielded two top-prize tickets, one bought in Middle Village, Queens and the other at J & H Lucky Spot, a tobacco shop at 3014 Deer Park Ave., next to Dunkin' Donuts.

According to a news release from the New York Lottery, a ticket for $19,873 was purchased on Monday from the store.

Take 5 players should check their numbers for the evening draw at nylottery.ny.gov to see if they are the lucky winner. Players have one entire year to claim their prize.

The owner, who identified himself as Harry, told Patch that no one has come in to claim the ticket yet. He said the store has sold tickets with bigger winnings in the past but "not in many years."
