Northwell Expands Women’s Health Services On Long Island

DEER PARK, NY — Northwell Health is expanding access to specialized care for women with the opening of its Women’s Specialty Care Center in Deer Park Avenue, a state-of-the-art facility spanning 7,062 square feet and cost just over $3.5 million to build.

According to Northwell officials, the new center will offer a full spectrum of women’s health services, including minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, pelvic floor physical therapy, obstetrics, gynecology and preventive care.

"The expansion of our women’s health practice in Deer Park is an important step in ensuring that patients have the care they need, right in their own neighborhood," said Joseph Baglio, senior vice president of Northwell’s Eastern Region Ambulatory Services.

In a statement, Northwell said the women's center aims to "serve as a vital health care resource" for the Deer Park community and the surrounding South Shore area. The expansion further strengthens the connection to South Shore University Hospital, Northwell’s premier tertiary care center in Suffolk County, ensuring seamless coordination of care for patients who require advanced treatment.

Rosen, MD, executive director of the Katz Institute and senior vice president of women’s health at Northwell. "The Katz Institute for Women’s Health is improving the health of women at every age and stage, bridging the gap between wellness and personalized care delivery."
