LONG ISLAND, NY — New York State Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre, who has served the 11th Assembly District since 2015, is being challenged by former senior court clerk, Christopher Sperber in the Nov. 8 general election.


The candidates:


Jean-Pierre was elected in the 2014 general election, succeeding Assemblyman Bob Sweeney after he served the district for 26 years.

In 2020, she defeated Republican Eugene Murray, obtaining 22,307 votes to his 18,149 votes.

The 11th State Assembly District covers Lindenhurst, Copiague, Amityville, North Lindenhurst, Wyandanch, parts of East Farmingdale, and parts of North Babylon.
