Primary Results Are In For Town Of Babylon 14th Legislative District
Long Island residents went to the polls on Tuesday to vote in the Republican primary race for the 14th Legislative District. Here's who won.

BABYLON, NY — Town of Babylon residents headed to the polls on Tuesday to cast their vote in the Republican primary race for the 14th Legislative District.
Attorney Shawn S. Cullinane and Lindenhurst's current deputy mayor Richard J. Renna ran for the seat since incumbent Legislator Kevin McCaffrey is stepping down at the end of 2025 due to term limits.
Unofficial results show Renna received 1,023 votes, or 66.3 percent, and Cullinane received 515 votes, or 33.38 percent.

Renna, the GOP’s chosen candidate, currently serves as a Lindenhurst Village trustee and as deputy mayor. He was born and raised in Lindenhurst and currently works for Appco Group USA.
Cullinane, a longtime Lindenhurst resident and attorney, serves as a Village of Brightwaters court prosecutor and spent nearly 30 years as the Village of Lindenhurst's clerk treasurer.

The district consists of Lindenhurst Village, Babylon Village, the hamlets of West Babylon and North Lindenhurst, portions of Copiague, North Babylon, and Babylon's barrier beach communities.
