Town Of Babylon To Host Emily's Awesome Toy Drive
Community members can drop off new and unwrapped toys on Saturday.

DEER PARK, NY — The Town of Babylon community is gearing up to help children in need this holiday season.
Councilman Anthony Manetta and the Deer Park Knights of Columbus are organizing a collection for Emily's Awesome Toy Drive on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
New and unwrapped toys can be donated to the drive at the drive-up drop-off event at the Knights of Columbus parking lot, 759 Long Island Avenue in Deer Park.

Toys can also be dropped off in advance to Councilman Manetta's office in Babylon Town Hall, 200 East Sunrise Highway, Lindenhurst.
Emily's Awesome Toy Drive started in 2010, after North Babylon resident Emily Meyer became sick on Christmas Day. She woke up to a volunteer from the Child Life Program who handed her a Christmas present, ABC7 said.

Since then, she was inspired to give back to children going through similar experiences.
