Traffic Advisory: Lindenhurst Roads Slated For Closure, Heavy Traffic

LINDENHURST, NY — The Suffolk County Police Department is advising motorists of road closures in Lindenhurst over the weekend.

On Saturday, May 18, police are warning of traffic congestion during Sand City Brewing Company's Goosefest from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 150 South Wellwood Avenue.

On Sunday, May 19, the Lindenhurst Chamber of Commerce's Springfest will take place from noon to 5 p.m. on North and South Wellwood Avenues between John Street and Gates Avenue. Police are warning of traffic congestion and road closures.

Also on Sunday, the Beat Lives On Foundation's 5K Fun Run and Walk will take place from 6:30 a.m. to noon. It will start and end at Venetian Shores Park at 850 Venetian Boulevard.

The First Precinct advises motorists to use alternate routes to avoid "traffic congestion and possible heavy traffic."
