Veterans Honored At DeLuca Elementary’s 10th Annual Parade In North Babylon

Students, staff and families honored local veterans with music, flags and heartfelt tributes.

NORTH BABYLON, NY — Patriotic pride filled the hallways of William E. DeLuca Elementary School on November 10 as the North Babylon community celebrated its 10th annual Veterans Day parade and assembly.

The event brought together students, staff, and guests, including veterans with personal connections to the school. As the veterans made their way through the hallways, students lined the corridors waving American flags, holding handmade signs, and cheering in appreciation. Many dressed in red, white and blue to show their gratitude for those who have served.

After the parade, the celebration continued in the gymnasium with a student-led assembly featuring songs, speeches and performances honoring the veterans in attendance. Each grade level participated, performing patriotic songs and offering messages of thanks to the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
