The 10 Best Reactions to Brooklyn's Mega-Sinkhole

The 25-foot-wide mega-sinkhole that exposed Sunset Park’s innards to the world on Tuesday morning, caused by a leaky water main, was one of the largest in the city’s rich history of sinkholes.

No one was sucked down into the abyss — or injured at all, that we know of. And thank heaven for that, because now we get to make fun of it.

Here are our picks for the Internet’s 10 best reactions to the gaping wound that is now the the Fifth Avenue-64th Street intersection. The hipster jokes got a little annoying — mostly because the Sunset Park/Bay Ridge border is one of the least hipster areas in Brooklyn — but some were too good to pass up.
