5 Things: Suzi Shelton and Hot Peas 'N Butter Concert at P.S. 230

1. Take the kids to a concert. P.S. 230 is having a fundraising concert tonight featuring Hot Peas 'N Butter and Suzi Shelton. 1 Albemarle Road, 6:30 p.m. $10.
2. Take yourself to a concert. If you're kid-free tonight, head to Sycamore to hear Raquel Bell's mix of rock and post-punk-metal. 1118 Cortelyou Road, 9 p.m. $10.

3. Get bluesy. If you're more in the mood for jazz, head to The Way Station in Prospect Heights for Po’ Boy Reinhart & Ukelele Ed to hear "originals and covers of jazzy, bluesy, bopping, popping, rootsy songs with a peculiar charm all their own." Show starts at 8. They're followed at 10 by Kagero, who play "upbeat, folky pop songs with world music flavors, sung by a Japanese man with a British accent." 683 Washington Ave. bet. 4. Run for a cause. Hosted by New York University's Doctorate of Physical Therapy program, the third Annual NYU DPT 5k Walk/Run for Physical Therapy Research will be held in Prospect Park on Saturday at 9 a.m. Whether an experienced athlete, first timer, teenager or senior citizen, get ready to lace up your running/walking shoes for physical therapy research! Funds will benefit the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research, with a small portion contributing to the graduation ceremony for the class of 2013.
