8-Year-Old Boy Dies in Bedford Avenue Fire

Blaze broke out early Saturday morning in two-story home between Glenwood and Farragut.

 

An 8-year-old boy was killed by an early-morning fire in a home on Bedford Avenue between Glenwood and Farragut.

The flames broke out just before 2:51 a.m. Saturday morning at 2765 Bedford Ave., a two-story home. Firefighters discovered the boy's body soon after, according to the NYPD.

According to the Daily News, the victim, whom they've identified as Aschton Charles, was sleeping in the living room when a space heater ignited a couch.
