Volunteers Needed for Participatory Budgeting Project

Councilman Jumaane D. Williams is one of four council members running a pilot program called Participatory Budgeting. 

Between October2011 and March 2012, community residents were invited to Neighborhood Assemblies where they will directly decide how to spend at least $1 million of the Councilmember’s discretionary capital funds. 

During the week of March 25 to April 1 we will conduct voting for the proposals that the residents have worked on.

Volunteers are needed to man the polls.
