Ash Wednesday Mass Schedule in Ditmas Park

The season of Lent—the traditional period of penance and self reflection begins today—with Ash Wednesday.

Ash Wednesday is celebrated with services in which the faithful are marked with an ash cross on the forehead.

The season of Lent ends with Good Friday and Easter.

If you didn't make it to church this morning, there's still time. Here are the remaining masses for today at several churches in and around Ditmas Park:

St. Rose of Lima, 269 Parkville Ave. bet. Ocean Parkway and E. 8th St., 7:30 p.m.

Our Lady of Refuge, 2020 Foster Ave. at Ocean Avenue, 7:30 p.m.
