Qathra, 1112 Cortelyou Rd., Ditmas Park

One reviewer says: "Great coffee shop in Flatbush situated just a few doors down from Sycamore. It's got a great selection of teas and coffees as well as a breakfast/lunch items. Breakfast items are served all day. I ordered the gaucomole and cheese sandwich which was delicious. The sandwich was nicely toasted. They have great service. This is a perfect spot to come to if you want to do some work on your laptop, do some light reading or meeting up with friends. It's a pretty spacious spot with even an outdoor area in the back." - Tiffany C.

Lark Cafe, 1007 Church Ave., Ditmas Park

One reviewer says: "It is rare when you can find a coffee shop that is baby-friendly. My fiancee and I have tried many spots in the neighborhood where we feel comfortable, and Lark is our new favorite. Having great coffee, tasty breakfast sandwiches (we had the potato, egg and cheese, which has GREAT bread!) and a kid room next door, it is truly a ideal neighbor friendly cafe. The staff, two young guys, were awesome. Upbeat attitudes, cool and kid friendly. This is rare. I felt like I was at a relatives home, which is the greatest comfort of all.Definitely making Lark a couple-times-per-week spot!" - Isaac S.

Cafe Madeline, 1603 Cortelyou Rd., Ditmas Park

One reviewer says: "Awesome. Must try brunch spot. I personally recommend anything on the cheddar chive biscuit, I get the maple espresso bacon, egg, and cheese and it never disappoints. Also lox, cream cheese, cucumbers, and onions on the biscuit is pretty amazing too. Honestly it doesn't seem like you can go wrong here. They also sell underwest donuts here so that's a plus. The only unfortunate part is that they have a very strange selection of drinks. I was looking for a Diet Coke maybe a Snapple but no where in site. They do have an extensive collection of hot coffee beverages so if you're looking for that you gotta come here." - Julie M.

Coffee Z, 30 Newkirk Plaza, Flatbush

One reviewer says: "Best coffee shop in Brooklyn and my favorite spot to go too also new menu items. whenever you come here ask for Monica she's the best worker here." - Ibrahim M.
