Brooklyn Parking-Lot Sinkhole Eats Garbage Truck: PHOTOS
Onlookers watched helplessly as the truck sank deeper and deeper into a Flatbush parking lot.
A private sanitation truck became stuck on a parking deck near the Flatbush Target before 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning when a massive sinkhole in the lot swallowed its hind wheels, according to reports from the scene.
Thankfully, WABC reporter Kala Rama was on hand to live-tweet the slow, dramatic sink.
Aerial photos showed the truck’s wheels perched dangerously on the delicate edges of the sinkhole.
According to a reporter for News 12 Brooklyn, the truck eventually had to be pulled from its hole with a crane.
No injuries were reported.
