Car Mounts Curb And Hits Pedestrians In Flatbush, FDNY Says

Six people were hit and all suffered non life-threatening injuries, the FDNY said.

FLATBUSH, NY – A driver lost control of a vehicle Thursday, mounting a curb in Flatbush and plowing into several pedestrians, an FDNY spokesman said. The Daily News reported that the car was being operated by a disabled driver.

The accident happened at Nostrand Ave., near Glenwood Rd., just after 7 p.m., the FDNY said. Six people were hurt, all with non life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The Daily News reported that the vehicle had been modified for use by a paraplegic and that the driver told authorities the controls malfunctioned.
