Chand Raat Bazar On Coney Island Ave. Saturday
The bazar, held to celebrate Eid, will begin at 5 p.m. on Coney Island Ave. between Foster Ave. and Ave. H.
The American Council of Minority Women (ACMW) is hosting the 2012 Chand Raat Bazar Saturday, Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. on Coney Island Ave. between Foster Ave. and Ave. H.
"Chand Raat means the night of the new moon sighting. After the entire month of fasting, Mulsims celebrate Eid", ACMW's website stated.

The festivities "will offer a spectacular celebration by offering a wide range of sponsorship opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs who would like to showcase, market, or introduce their products for an expected gathering of 25,000 participants," the website continued.
"The stalls displayed will offer a variety of international and traditional (halal) cuisines, music, rides, toys, clothes, jewelry and various other gifts for family and friends to share joy," the site said.

The celebration includes, shopping to prepare for Eid, which marks the end of Ramadan.
Coney Island Ave. between Foster Ave. and Ave. H. will be closed to hold the event, so plan accordingly.
