Consignment Shop TinkerTailor Opens in Ditmas Park

Non-profit, sustainability center and retail store TinkerTailor will hold its first event, a back-to-school and back-to-work sale Sept. 28-30.

Two Ditmas Parkers have opened a non-profit, sustainability center and retail store to build bonds and reduce waste within the commmunity.

Started by Pietta Donovan and Anne Black, TinkerTailor includes three components: workshops, a studio space dedicated to tutorials and classes, and a consignment shop dedicated to gently used goods and local retailers' products.

"TinkerTailor sprang out of a series of conversations and small projects- and a big desire to change how we live in the world that we are passing onto our children," the shop's website says.
