Cops Hunt Webster Avenue Rape Suspect

Police are asking for help identifying a man suspected of attempted rape near Ocean Parkway Tuesday night. 

On July 23, at about 2:40 a.m. a 24-year-old woman was walking on Webster Avenue between Ocean Parkway and E. 8th Street when someone grabbed her from behind, and threw her to the ground and demanded her money, police said.

Next the man tried to rape her. The woman resisted and the man ran off.

The woman described the man as a Latino man between the ages of 27 and 32 years old, standing between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-2, with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark blue jeans, according to the cops.
