Ditmas Park Businesses Will Air Oct. 3 Presidential Debate

It's the time many political aficionados have been waiting for: the presidential debates are upon us. The first debate, which will mark the first of many face-offs for President Barack Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, will air Wed., Oct. 3 from 9-10:30 p.m. 

The debate will cover an array of topics concerning domestic policy, including the economy, health care, the role of the government and governing. PBS' Jim Lehrer will moderate the debate, which is taking place at the University of Denver.

If you can't make it to Colorado to catch the throw-down in person, there are many places in Ditmas Park that will air the debates, including:

  • Sycamore, located at 1118 Cortelyou Rd.
  • Picket Fence, located at 1310 Cortelyou Rd.  
  • 773 Lounge, located at 773 Coney Island Ave.

Also, it is important to noted the deadline to register to vote in the General Election is Fri., Oct. 12. Check the New York State Board of Election's website to confirm if you are registered or not and learn where you can vote.
