Man Beaten With Baseball Bat In Flatbush, Police Say

The assailant struck last week.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A man was badly beaten with a baseball bat in East Flatbush last week, police said.

The 22-year-old victim got into an argument with another man on East 48th Street near Avenue D on Friday, September 8 around 5:50 p.m., police said.

The man bashed the victim "several times" with the baseball bat before fleeing the scene north on East 48th Street in a grey Honda Accord, according to police.

The victim has been hospitalized at Brookdale Hospital in critical but stable condition, according to police.

The assailant has been described as a black male in his 40s who stands 5 feet 10 inches and weighs 170 pounds, driving the grey Accord.
