Men Wanted For Gunpoint Robberies In Ditmas Park, Midwood

DITMAS PARK, BROOKLYN — Authorities are searching for two men who they say is responsible for a string of gunpoint robberies in Brooklyn, including one in Ditmas Park.

One of the men would point a gun at their victims, while the other took cash, phones and credit cards before they fled, according to the NYPD.

Their first robbery came in Flatlands around 2:30 a.m. the morning of July 12, when a 36-year-old man was waiting for the B6 bus at the intersection of Flatlands Avenue and Ralph Avenue, police said. They made off with $250 in cash, debit and credit cards and a cellphone, according to authorities.

About half an hour later, they stuck up a 50-year-old man on Marlborough Road near Ditmas Avenue, police said. They took a cellphone, a bank card and $300 cash before fleeing in a light-colored sedan, police said.

Two nights later, they robbed a 26-year-old man near East 95th Street and Flatlands Avenue of his cellphone, then took a purse with $300 in it from a 22-year-old woman on Avenue L near East 23rd Street, police said.
