Many empty storefronts in the neighborhood are beginning to see new life again as new businesses continue to pop up throughout Ditmas Park. 

On Rugby Rd. between Foster Rd. and Newkirk Ave. is the New Coffee House, a quaint shop with fresh Indian pastries as well as the staples of any bodega. 

Turn the corner onto Foster Rd. and walk to Argyle Rd., and you'll find a new nail salon as well. Tropical Nail's Salon also specializes in waxing, facials and hair styling.

The two new shops join many new businesses that , including Bismillah Auto Parts on Cortelyou Rd. and Coney Island Ave. and Sultan Grill: Fried Chicken on Coney Island Ave. near Cortelyou Rd.

Also new to the neighborhood are Adelynn’s Restaurant & Grill on Newkirk Ave. between East 16 and 17 Streets, Richie Rich Caribbean Taste at 1219 Church Ave. and Friendly Rx. Pharmacy on Coney Island Avenue near Slocum Place.
