Pup Abandoned In Prospect Park With Note: 'I Can't Help Her!'
Police swooped down on Prospect Park's Parade Ground Tuesday morning to rescue an abandoned dog, witnesses and officials said.

PROSPECT PARK, BROOKLYN -- Police rescued a dog abandoned in the Prospect Park Parade Ground with a bowl of water and a note that read, "I'm sorry I can't help her."
At least seven cop cars and about a dozen police descended on the basketball courts at the south of the park at about 7 a.m., witness Justin Silverman told Patch.
There they found Charly, as the pup has been dubbed, who had been left with a silver bowl of water and a note from her former owner, according to Silverman.
