Target To Open Smaller Store In Kingswood Center II
The store is one of the five small-format stores Target is planning to open in the greater New York City area.

MIDWOOD, BROOKLYN — Target is joining Kingswood Center II on the corner of Kings Highway and E 14th St. in the fall of 2018. The new location “will offer everything from fresh groceries to apparel and more,” according to a Target representative.
The 37,700 square feet store will be the fifth small-format Target in the greater New York City area.
The company is currently operating 32 of these small-format stores nationwide and has plans to open 33 more in the next three years.

With the new small store format, the retail giant is attempting to access densely populated urban markets that are unable to accommodate larger stores due to space limitations. The new format is tailored to meet the needs of local guests and provide a quick-trip shopping experience.
“We look forward to expanding Target’s presence in Brooklyn to serve even more guests with the addition of the new Midwood neighborhood store,” said Mark Schindele, senior vice president, Properties, Target. “We think the community will enjoy the convenient shopping experience with a unique assortment mix that only Target can provide.”
