Update: Brooklyn Subway Slasher Arrested, Police Say
Ras Alula Nagarit, of East Harlem, turned himself in and will face charges for threatening and nicking a woman on the hand on the subway.
Police say they arrested the man responsible for slashing a woman on a Brooklyn subway Tuesday.
Police said Ras Alula Nagarit, 37, of East Harlem, will face charges including 2nd degree assault, attempted 2nd degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing, ABCNews reported, after he turned himself in Thursday to the 25th Precinct in East Harlem.
According to a New York Police Twitter page, a man slashed a woman on a 3 train in Brooklyn Tuesday, Patch previously reported.

A woman was riding a southbound 3 subway between Atlantic Avenue and Eastern Parkway around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday when a man said to her, “I will chop you up on this train,” ABCNews reported. He nicked her hand with an object wrapped in a cloth in what police described as a random attack.
Nagarit will be arraigned Friday.
