Woman Found Dead In Flatbush Apartment; Husband Arrested: Police And Reports

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A woman was found dead in a Flatbush apartment Tuesday night, and her husband was arrested and charged with murder in connection with her death, according to police and media reports.

After 11 p.m. on Tuesday, officers showed up to the apartment, located on Avenue J between New York Avenue and East 32nd Street.

They found the 63-year-old woman dead with trauma to her head, according to police. Loiseau Desmoulins, a 56-year-old man who was also in the home at the time, was taken in for questioning and eventually arrested, police said.

Desmoulins is the husband of the dead woman, who was not identified, the New York Daily News reported. He was charged with murder, according to police.

The couples' landlord told the Daily News they had been fighting recently because the husband was out of a job. He said he didn't hear anything Tuesday night.

"I didn't hear anything. That's the problem," the landlord said. "Nobody heard anything. I know the woman, she's the type of woman who would scream and if I heard somebody scream I would call the police."
