Blue Bottle Coffee Opens In Westfield World Trade Center

A new Blue Bottle is open in the Westfield World Trade Center.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A Blue Bottle Coffee shop opened in the Westfield World Trade Center this week, bringing another coffee option to the ever-expanding upscale mall.

The new cafe is located near the World Trade Center, which the company said impacted its design choices for the new outpost.

"Keeping in mind the gravity and history of the location, the design team carefully curated a welcoming space with humble materials in order to create a refuge for anyone who walks through its doors," the company said in a statement.

This is the company's 11th cafe in New York City. Last month, the Oakland-based chain opened a location near Union Square. Nestlé purchased a majority stake in the popular chain for a reported $500 million last week.
