Cyclist Hit And Killed By Truck In Tribeca, Police Say
Yan Jindee was killed on Thursday evening when a box truck slammed into her near a Tribeca street corner, police said.

TRIBECA, NY — A cyclist was killed on Thursday evening when a box truck slammed into her near a Tribeca street corner, authorities said.
The cyclist, Yan Jindee, was riding her bicycle at about 5:45 p.m. on Thursday near the corner of Broadway and Walker Street, police said. A large box truck was moving east on Walker Street and began to make a right turn onto Broadway when it hit Jindee, according to police.
Jindee, 48, was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead. She was a resident of the Lower East Side, according to her last registered address.

It was not immediately clear whether the driver of the box truck, a 38-year-old man, would face any charges in connection with the crash. Police are still investigating the collision.
