Dead Body Pulled From Hudson River, Police Say

Police pulled a dead body from the Hudson River near Tribeca on Saturday night, authorities said.

TRIBECA, NY — Police pulled a dead body from the Hudson River on Saturday night, according to authorities.

Authorities responded to a report of a person floating in the water sometime after 10 p.m. on Saturday, authorities said. Officers responded to the Hudson River near the South Cove Park, near Battery Place and Second Place.

An NYPD spokesman told Patch that the individual was pronounced dead at the scene after being pulled from the water. The individual has not been identified and police could not immediately confirm the person's sex or age.

The city's medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
