Donald Trump Meeting With Conde Nast Brass At NYC HQ

The president-elect will pow-wow with some of the company's top leaders Friday morning.

MANHATTAN, NY — President-elect Donald Trump was scheduled to meet Friday morning with some of the top editors and leaders at Conde Nast at the company's 1 World Trade Center headquarters.

Pool reporters following Trump spotted him in Lower Manhattan on Friday morning. A heavy police presence was reported in the area. He was spotted leaving about an hour later.

The pow-wow with the media company was off-the-record, unlike his meeting with The New York Times shortly after the election.

Trump has shown a particular disdain for Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter, who was expected to attend Friday's meeting. Their feud goes back decades after Carter called Trump a "short-fingered vulgarian" in Spy magazine in 1988, an insult that has stuck with the president-elect since.

Last month, after the magazine wrote a scathing review of Trump Grill, Trump blasted Vanity Fair on Twitter, calling it "way down," "big trouble" and "dead." He said Carter has "no talent."

The magazine saw record subscriptions after the president-elect's comments.

Carter kept his lips sealed about the contents of the meeting:
