Fire At Bowling Green Subway Station Snarls Service
A small fire at the Bowling Green subway station caused mid-morning delays along the 4 and 5 lines.

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A fire in the Bowling Green subway station caused delays along the 4 and 5 lines Thursday as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 10:10 a.m. on Thursday, an FDNY spokesman told Patch. It was out by 10:28 a.m., he said.
It was not immediately clear whether the fire was in the station or on a train, according to the fire department.

The MTA said that 4 and 5 train service had resumed with delays as of 10:45 a.m.
