First Look at the New Residential Tower at 1 Beekman

The glass-faced building won't leave much to the imagination if residents don't buy blinds, but does give beautiful views of City Hall Park.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — The new 25-story residential building at 1 Beekman St. has finally been revealed, as construction on the site gets underway.

Urban Muse, the developers behind the new building, released renderings on its website on Tuesday showing off the skyscraper. The new 336-foot building will feature a whole lot of glass windows in the uniquely designed, only 60-foot-wide plot. It will also give great views of City Hall and City Hall Park, as it's located just across the street.

The building was designed by Rogers, Stirk, Harbour and Partners.

The building will offer 31 residences over 58,330 square feet, as well as office space on floors 2 through 4, and ground floor retail. It will feature recreation space on floors 4 and 5, building records show. The roof will have a private green space for residents only.

It is supposed to be completed in spring 2018, so you've got some time to save up money for a place.
