Harvey Weinstein To Surrender To Police, Report Says
The disgraced movie mogul was being investigated after allegations of sexual abuse.

TRIBECA, NY – Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein is expected to surrender to police in relation to an investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney and the NYPD, the New York Daily News reports. The newspaper said he will hand himself over on Friday.
Weinstein is being investigated after claims he sexually assaulted at least one woman.
Complaints against Weinstein first surfaced in October when the New York Times and the New Yorker published separate stories detailing years of accusations from different women.

Since then, additional women have come forward to accuse the producer of abuse and mistreatment.
Weinstein has said he will seek treatment for a sex addiction. He has denied many of the women's allegations, and has specifically denied accusations of rape.

The wave of allegations against Weinstein has been credited with launching the #MeToo movement, which has seen people come forward with sexual harassment and assault accusations in multiple industries.
