Hollywood Art Gallery To Open In TriBeCa

An esteemed Hollywood art gallery is opening its first East Coast space in TriBeCa.

TRIBECA, NY — A high-end Los Angeles gallery is entering the New York art world with its first space in TriBeCa, the Commercial Observer reports.

LA Gallery Regen Projects is planning to open its first East Coast space on Lispenard Street in the coming months, according to the Observer. Regen Projects has become a staple of the Los Angeles art scene, attracting contemporary artists from the around the world to show in its California space.

The gallery will open in The Wanamaker building, a seven-story residential structure at 60 Lispenard St., according to the Observer. Regen is taking over 3,800 square feet on the ground floor plus another 2,000 square feet on the lower level, according to the Redwood Property Group. "After 28 years been one of the most representative galleries in L.A. they decided that it was a good time to open a second location in the East Coast," Regen representative Alejandro Cruz-Mayor told the Observer. "Being that New York City is the world capital of contemporary art there was no better place to open than in New York City."
