Learn About How to Best Appear in Family Court for Child Support

An experienced attorney will teach parents and providers how to best present one's self in family court.

TRIBECA, NY — The government-funded organization Strong Families Studio is offering a workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 4 for parents who need to know the best practices for appearing in Family Court for child support, Community Board 1 announced Friday.

The workshop, "Child Support: What to Expect in Court," is taught by an experienced attorney. The event description says "the workshop will give you a nuts-and-bolts understanding of how to navigate an appearance in the Family Court for child support."

Strong Families Studio holds workshops periodically that are "a great opportunity for you, your staff, or the people you serve to get expert answers to your trickiest questions," according to the organization's website. The agency is sponsored by the New York City Human Resource Administration's Office of Child Support Enforcement.

The workshop is open to parents and providers who serve parents. It's being held on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 151 West Broadway, 5th floor (between Worth and Thomas streets) from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. RSVP by emailing OSCEevents@dfa.state.ny.us.
