Lower Manhattan Halloween 2018: Where To Dress Up And Get Down

TRIBECA, NY — Lower Manhattan has no shortage of halloween happenings this autumn.

6th Annual Elizabeth Street Garden Harvest Festival

What: The Elizabeth Street Garden fest returns with tarot card readings, pumpkin decorating and a tea ceremony.
Where: Elizabeth Street Garden between Prince and Spring streets
When: Oct. 20, noon to 4 p.m. (Rain date Oct. 21)


Fall Fest At Pier 25
Neighborhood: Tribeca
What: Don your Halloween costume early for this day of family fun with pumpkin painting, fishing in the Hudson River and a magic show.
Where: Pier 25 off of West Street near North Moore Street
When: Oct. 21, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Halloween Arts And Crafts In Battery Park City Library
Neighborhood: Financial District
What: Tykes 3 to 5-years-old are welcome to join the Battery Park City Library for an evening of holiday arts and crafts.
Where: New York Public Library's Battery Park City Branch at 175 North End Avenue
When: 4 p.m.


Halloween Spooktacular At The Church Street School For Music & Art
Neighborhood: Tribeca
What: This event is packed with activities for all ages including a haunted house, costume parade and a scavenger hunt. Tickets for adults go for $25 and children get in for $15, or a family ticket — for two adults and all children — costs $65.
Where: The Church Street School For Music & Art at 41 White Street
When: Oct. 27, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.


Halloween Bash At Brookfield Place

Neighborhood: Financial District
What: Tots can show off their Halloween costumes “red carpet style” on a catwalk, trick or treat inside Brookfield Place and enjoy acts by escape artists, jugglers and mad scientists.
Where: Brookfield Place at 230 Vesey Street
When: Oct. 27, noon-3 p.m.


Halloween Party And Costume Parade In Washington Market Park

Neighborhood: Tribeca
What: Parade lineup begins at 12:50 p.m. at Beach and North Moore streets and travels south to Greenwich Street to the park. Inside the green space, volunteers run a slew of activities such as penny-in-a-haystack and a bone dig in the sandbox.
Where: Washington Market Park at 199 Chambers Street
When: Oct. 28, 1-3 p.m.


Harvest Fest By The Meatpacking Business Improvement District
Neighborhood: Chelsea
What: Enjoy an artisanal market with more than two dozen vendors, food stands hawking seasonal bites and a lineup of activities including make your own trick or treat bags, face painting and arts and crafts.
Where: 14th Street Park on Tenth Avenue between W. 14th and 15th streets
When: Oct. 27, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.


Haunted High Line Halloween
Neighborhood: Chelsea
What: This event boasts face painting, an old-time photo booth, a scavenger hunt and live performances.
Where: On the High Line between 14th to 16th streets, enter at 14th Street and 10th Avenue
When: Oct. 28, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.


Hometown Halloween At Trinity Church

Neighborhood: Financial District
What: This event includes a graveyard trick or treat with actors dressed as historical characters and silent movie Phantom of the Opera with a live organ player.
Where: Trinity Churchyard at 770 Riverside Drive
When: Oct. 31, 3-8:30 p.m.


Children's Halloween Parade March In Washington Square Park

Neighborhood: West Village
What: Costumed kids will gather at the fountain in Washington Square Park at 3 p.m. Free trick-or-treat bags, performances, games and rides await tykes after the 28th annual parade on W. 3rd Street between LaGuardia Place and Mercer Street.
Where: Washington Square Park
When: Oct. 31, 3-4 p.m.
