Man Found Dead On E Train: Police

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A man was found unconscious on a train at the World Trade Center station early Tuesday morning shortly before he was pronounced dead, police said. For more news from Tribeca and the Financial District, sign up for Patch news alerts here.

The man was found at about 4:30 a.m. on a downtown E train. Police said there were no obvious signs of trauma. The man was unconscious when officers responded, and it was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, police said. The city's medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death.
