Man Found Dead In Tribeca Jewelry Store

TRIBECA, NY — A man was found dead Wednesday night inside the bathroom of a Tribeca jewelry store, the NYPD said.

The 42-year-old man was discovered unconscious in the World of Gold N Diamond store at 193 Church Street, according to police. The officers who found him were performing a wellness check, police said.

He was found with two zip ties around his neck, according to the New York Post.

EMS pronounced him dead on the scene. The medical examiner will determine a cause of death, and the investigation is ongoing.
