Man Stabs Teen Who Didn't Give Him A Beer Near Battery Park, Police Say

Police say a man stabbed a 16-year-old boy for not giving him a beer on Saturday.

STATEN ISLAND FERRY TERMINAL, NY — A man stabbed a 16-year-old boy in the stomach after the boy refused to give him a beer on Saturday, police said.

Police say the man, who has not been identified, approached the 16-year-old at about 1:25 a.m. near the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. The man asked the teenager for a beer, and when the teen refused he stabbed the teen in abdomen with an unknown object, police said. The teenager was transported to the hospital for treatment.
